Personally, I would feel weird wearing that to a courthouse lol! I would suggest wearing something a lot less formal than that (but still in white!)

Not at all.  After all you ARE getting married..even if it is in a courthouse with just the two of you.  You are still a bride and there is nothing wrong with looking like one.

EDIT: You might want to add a poll.

My friend just did a courthouse wedding with a small restaurant reception afterwards.

Wear what you want!

I think its a little formal but I guess it depends on the setting of of the ceremony.  If its in a big fancy courthouse and you’ll do it in the big open pretty lobby or somewhere nice with photos then I say go for it.

If your just going to the walk up window with a waiting room full of random people and cubicles then I say no.

I think it would be a bit much what about a less formal tea dress? I would feel awkward wearing that beautiful dress in a courthouse wedding.

Wear what you want, but just realize you may be WAY overdressed. I’ve never been to a courthouse wedding but I know people who married that way and they wore very simple outfits, one couple wore jeans.

I’d say wear it.  You ahve it, it is your wedding, you will get to use it twice, it is beautiful and you are getting married!!!!  The people watchers can suck it.
