I think I am coming to the conclusion that I am going to have a courthouse ceremony.
I’m pretty bummed about it! We don’t have a budget to do anything else really. I really wanted to do it in a park but the thought of getting rained out is making me too nervous.
Any other brides get married at the courthouse? Was it pretty or did you regret?

For our 1st wedding, we didn’t get married in a courthouse, but we had our Rabbi come to a restaurant and we had a small ceremony in a private room with just our immediate family. It was very intimate and special. It’s a great alternative to an actual courthouse wedding if you’re not thrilled with that option. I think for 12 people it cost around $200.

Well we are still having a reception. I am thinking of maybe getting married at the reception but I have never heard of anything like that being done.

you could definitely have a ceremony at your reception! if you’re religious, it can be your religious ceremony, or it can just be a renewal.

@tranquility:I know a few people you have gotten married at the courthouse and have regretted it. I think it would be perfectly fine to get married at your reception site. Or look into renting a park that offers a covered shelter, since you are nervous about the weather. You can usually find a park that rents out the shelters for around $50. Good luck to you!
