Okay, First, some background: Me and Fiance will both be 23 when we get married and almost done with college, so as you can imagine, we are very poor. Well after MUCH searching I have found a small garden attached to a church that will let us have our wedding there for $400 – a real steal by comparison to other places! – but when you factor in decor, seating etc. it comes to about $650.
So now, even though $600 really isnt alot to spend on the ceremony, we have been looking into getting married at a courhouse on the steps for free (a la Mrs. MaryJane) especially since there will only be 25 guests total. Both sites have their good and bad points and at this point it a tossup. Both me and Fiance could go either way and so I wanted some unbiased opinions :3

Well, I’m kind of biased b/c I wanted a garden wedding. You don’t even need that much decor b/c there’s flowers all around you, and that should be pretty enough. Plus, it’s your wedding. To me, the ceremony was the most important part b/c that’s where you actually get married. I wanted it to be beautiful. I guess it depends on your priorities though, b/c everyone is different.

What about a park pavillion in your area?
I had a friend who got married outside the courthouse, they allowed her to do it by the fountain and it was very pretty. She didn’t do any decorations. It was simple and perfect.

@Asparagus: Yeah we thought about that but there are no really nice parks around here (we live in a small college town). Thanks for the advice though 🙂
