    So sorry to hear about your FMIL!  Here’s the link to Mrs. Mary Jane. She had a courthouse wedding that was absolutely stunning!  She really struggled finding a dress.  Good luck with your plans–I’m glad you guys are ready to start planning again.

    I think that it’s your wedding and if that’s what you want to wear, then go for it!  If it makes you feel any better, when the hubby and I went to get our marriage license, there was someone there waiting to get married and she was also wearing a “real” wedding dress.

    My mother got married in a court house and she wore a big poofy dress! haha it didnt seem weird at all from what i remember. (I was 8 at the time)

    I don’t think just because you’re having a courthouse wedding that you should feel like any less of a bride. Rock that dress, girl!
