That sounds good! I would choose though – do you want people to dance or don’t you? Nothing’s as awkward as an empty dance floor. I would either encourage people to dance and play dance music OR not have a dance floor and don’t worry about it.

This is how i will be having my wedding! (my OH and i never drink people think were strange) although we will be getting married and having the reception on the same day, just immediate family at the wedding, meal out around 2pm and then have an evening buffet thing like this (love that youre having indian thats what i want too). nobody NEEDS a dj when you have an iPod and speakers if people wanna dance they will do although without alcohol its doubtful so i dont think you need to extend your time but i think you will be doing a great job. 

 

I will be asking a guy from work if he wants to make a little bit of money and ask him to serve drinks at a special table (bottles of pop are cheaper than cans) and get cola and lemonade for my guests with ice in a little ice box at the side just because cans are quite expensive (im in the UK might be different for you) plus then they dont have to serve themselves but i must say i really love your idea =]
