When I eloped, my Fiance wore his only suit, a long sleeved button down and a tie – in other words, his interview suit.

My fiancé is planning on wearing a regular suit with a button down as well.

My husband wore a black suit, black shoes, marroon shirt, and a satin mid-toned blue paisley tie. He’s a musician and constantly wears a white tuxedo shirt, so he chose some color.

If he doesn’t want to wear a suit, or doesn’t own one it sounds like a button up shirt and slacks sounds like it would be appropriate paired with your outfit. With or without a tie, up to you.

If he has light coloured slacks he could wear a navy blue shirt, or a light grey would probably look nice with a pair of dark trousers.
