If you don’t care either way, then maybe you should cover it.

I had 3 tattoos showing on my wedding day and i’m glad i did because i love my tattoos and got them to show off.    nobody could have talked me out of it, and noone tried to.

If you aren’t dead set on having it showing, then maybe cover it for the sake of your mother even.  At least that’s one way she can have a say kinda.

I think you should do whatever you want!  It’s not a large or distracting tattoo.  I had the one on my shoulder showing during my wedding and I’m glad I did.  It’s not even a tattoo that I really like!

You got it for a reason, it’s part of you, why cover it?

If you consider covering it, don’t pay someone. Kat Von d has amazing tattoo concealer. But I agree it’s who you are πŸ™‚

I wouldn’t cover it. I had 3 tattoos showing at my wedding and they definitely didn’t take away from my dress. They become a part of who you are not a birthmark but a life mark so I’m all about displaying them with pride.

Just had a crazy thought, you could leave it un-covered for your wedding, then later for your photos you can choose if you want some photoshopped to not show it?… Unless your main goal is to avert peoples eyes from it on your wedding day. However, I think your beauty on it’s own will tie it altogether πŸ™‚

So, I guess what I would do is not cover it on your wedding day, then you can chose some photos photoshopped with out if for loved ones that would prefer it not there?   Sounds weird because it’s a piece of you but what they hey πŸ™‚

I don’t have tattoos so maybe I shouldn’t say… but I do have piercings, if that’s anything. haha

Buuutt…. I never understand when people say “Don’t cover it! It’s WHO YOU ARE!” … I’m like, what? No… What I wear, my hair color, my piercings… they’re not who I am. They’re how I choose to decorate myself and they might reflect my style. I am who I am and I’d be the same with or without them. lol I feel it’s just something a bold and influential person said at one time and it really caught on… but that’s just my opinion o_O  But maybe that’s why I don’t have tattoos? haha.

Some people might feel a very strong connection to their body modifications though, so you should defer to that. I feel I’m the same with or without them, but that’s just me. I mean, my hair would be more important to me than my tattoos/piercings.

I mean, in 40 years, you might not be so into the tattoos. If you’re indifferent, you should probably err on the safe side and cover them. I personally DON’T think tattoos/piercings are who you are. I think they’re art that you adorn yourself with (like my piercings).

I’d also cover anything I didn’t like… pimples, birthmarks I disliked… I’d put on makeup… because that’s how I want to portray myself on that day in that situation.

I guess you should if it’s what you want to portray yourself with on your wedding day. If you’re not sure, cover it. Would you regret covering it? If you don’t think you’d regret it, then cover it. If you think you’d regret covering it, then don’t.

Why would you? It’s a part of you. Be you, show it proudly. You got it for a reason, wouldn’t airbrushing it out feel kinda… fake?

I have three and I can’t wait to show them off in all my pictures!!

@Mrscjob:  My first thought too!  Never cover :)…unless you want to πŸ˜‰

You know you can always photoshop the tat out of pics if there’s one or many you decide you prefer the tat not showing.  If your tat is a part of who you are you might miss it not being there…but maybe you can photoshop it in too LOL

If you’re wearing a veil, it might not be that noticiable anyway. πŸ™‚ Really, I wouldn’t cover it. But if you want to, do it!

    Don’t cover it =)

SO and I are getting my larger tattoo recolored and touched up, and he is getting his first one done, specifically for the wedding.
