what about a pashmina or a wrap of some sort?  You could always pull it back so it covers your shoulders but the ends are behind you.  I agree that a bolero might look a little funn.

I think pashmina’s look really fresh and easy to slip on an off! I also think it would look really nice with the halter

Heya, Here is what mine kinda looks like except mine doesn’t come as high up the neck, guess it depends on how you tie it. Maybe an option??

Sorry I forget which bee I took this from.

Being a halter kind of girl, I’ve worn many a coverups. The best ones for a deep V dress, are a deep v with long ties that you criscross under the bust line and tie in a bow in the back. I would look at having someone on Etsy make you one that matches with your fabric. Here is a visual if my description has you confused.  If you got that route, make sure they put a slip where the fabric can go through or a button that the bottom where the fabric meets  to keep things looking smooth and perfect 🙂

That shrug while very 1940’s can make you seem frumpy if not done perfectly! I think if would look good with a 20’s kind of dress that is blousy on top and bottom but cinched in at the waist.

Another option is to rent a lot of old time movies and see what they have around them, either connect it right at the bottom of your chin, so the “v shape” is introverted (it will bring the eye to that detail of the dress) or mimic the similar shape of your dress.

Either way, when you decide, I would love to see pictures!

Not crazy at all! I think if your wedding has that kind of feel- you should definitely do it. Is that marabou feather? Its fabulous! I’m very over-the-top also though, so take my advice with a grain of salt. If I had my way I’d probably come down the aisle on a unicorn or something……
