I just found out from my church that I will need to have my shoulders covered for the ceremony. It is a Catholic church and this is a rule that the priest is very particular about. My wedding is only 2 weeks(!!) away and my dress is strapless. (Although very tasteful for a church.)
Any ideas on how to incorporate a shoulder covering? I am not too keen on wearing a wrap because it will cover up the dress and/or leave a big knot int he back if i tie it. I am thinking a lace bolero jacket (my dress is lace) or something of that nature, but I am also having trouble finding one.
Anyone else found a great one or come up against this issue?

i would def go with a bolero! shaws will def take away from the dress but they are a great alternative for bridesmaids – i got away with not having my shoulders covered, luckily the church wasnt too strict about it, but i did end up wearing a shaw for the rehearsal because i had a short strapless dress on.
check out etsy – and expedite shipping – other options are stop in at a davids bridal or even marshalls! i always see cute little boleros there.

I have searched for lace boleros for hours. Here is the best deal I found:
I bought mine through: http://www.sunfashioncanada.com/Wedding_and_Evening_Lace_Bolero_Jackets_s/20.htm
They have tons of options. I bought one of their 3/4 length ones.
They can expedite your purchase, 1-3 days. They arent too expensive. Mine was $57 total.
I tried DB, but they said it would take 12 weeks to get my boiero.

I’m getting married in a synagogue and have the same requirement. I bought a short sleeve lace bolero online and loved it…it also shipped really fast! This is the bolero I bought:
And here’s the link to a post about it, a bunch of other Bees bought from the same place (the link to the store is in the post)

Doesn’t it count if you have a long veil on? For my wedding, I had a cathedral veil on, and there were no issues about “bare shoulders” in my strapless dress.
Whatever you decide, good luck! The boleros are definitely pretty!
