hope this link works it should take you to sephora.com and to kat von d’s tattoo concealer. the stuff does work and it comes in different shades. kat lives in LA so thus HEAT would have been a huge factor in her designing this product. go to sephora and see if you can test it out, go on a hot day give it a trial run before buying.

Theatre like pancake makeup will do the trick but it has tp be pancake because it is thicker then regular makeup.

I’m not sure if it’s the same product recommended above, but Sephora also carries Kat Von D’s tattoo concealer.  When they applied it on her, you couldn’t tell she had ANY tattoos (or anything covering them up).

There is a theatrical makeup company called Ben Nye that makes good tattoo coverup.  it sets well because it’s made to stand up to sweating actors under stage lights.  BUT you might want to also purchase a matching powder.  What you do is put the powder over the makeup to set it, and THEN wet a paper towel and press that onto the area to remove the ‘powdery’ look.  After that, it really doesn’t budge….but you might want to try not to really rub it on anyone….I have yet to meet a ‘concealer’ type product that won’t leave any residue on clothes if rubbed very vigorously.

Are you getting your makeup done? I know the place where I am getting mine offers tattoo cover up for $35 which is about what you will spend on some of those diy cover up kits.

I was informed this past weekend by my mom that I am covering up my tattoo on my left shoulder. It is of my fiance’s name with a little rose. I figured I’m marrying the guy so whats the big deal? But ya, apparently I am covering it up. 🙂

I’ve heard good things about dermablend but when I recently went to some local department stores’ makeup counters, all they had was Cover FX, which they said was very similar. Cover FX had a lot of shades, one of which matched my skin tone perfectly! It covered pretty well, I don’t think anything is going to make it 100% invisible.

I also tried Kat Von D’s covering makeup but there weren’t as many shades and I couldn’t find one to match me.

I also have worn the tattoo covering kit that The Knot sells in a little tin box. It works fairly well but the Cover FX seems to work better.
