I’m sorry to hear you’re having a hard time. Maybe you could dye your hair a different color and/or change up your hair? That’s what I’m about to do! Just got bangs today and will be changing up my hair color again tomorrow. Pics below of before with no bangs and today. Also, I have a job interview tomorrow that I’m fairly sure I’ll get and I’m super excited for! It has lots of growth potential with amazing benefits! 🀞🏻

Hi Sweatergal!!

So yesterday was Valentines day and my DH and I exchanged Dyson styling tools LOL

I also made heart shaped spaghetti and meatballs..

The meatballs were also heart shaped but turned lumpy after being baked and slow cooked. They initially looked like this..

It’s snowing up a storm here and I found these tracks by my front steps. It’s the little things. <3

I just started a new job (it’s a dream job that I still can’t believe I landed shortly out of grad school!) so I decided to treat myself to my first pair of Louboutins! I’m generally a big jewelry person but those red bottoms were calling me… πŸ˜„ I haven’t taken them outside yet (it’s the rainy season here in WA) so this is the only photo I have of them so far…

They’re gorgeous though and so much more comfortable than I was expecting!

@Souzie:  those meatballs look so good! What kind of prints are those, are they bear tracks?

I honestly do think it’s the little things. We’re having ribs with paprika mac and cheese tonight, plus my bougainvillea is flowering! And this weekend my parents are meeting my in laws for the first time. I’m mostly excited, but also a little bit nervous!

My kitchen renovation is almost done! New vinyl planks laid yesterday. Everything moved back into place. Just a little more work from the cabinet maker, sparky, painter and tiler, and we’re done!!!

Renovating has been a shitty experience, expecially give I’m 5 months pregnant. But seeing it almost completed is making it all worth it!

@sbl99:  “sparky” … πŸ˜πŸ’œ

(I know this is a regular word outside of the US for someone who does electrical work, but it just tickles me.)

I was finding happiness in every little piece of a family room decor update last month then some super exciting things started to happen:

  • We have a new baby coming to our extended family
  • We have an engagement coming the end of this month
  • We had a new college grad land her first real job
  • And, all of our 75+ family members are now vaccinated!

Things are definitely on an upswing!

Our sweet 17 week old german shepherd-boxer-chow-white swiss shepherd-newfoundland puppy! We have 3 kids 3 and under but after our 11 year old dog died suddenly and unexpectedly in Sept our home felt empty without a dog. We brought her home at 9 weeks and she is in love with our 3 year old who claims to be her “trainer” and tells her to sit (which comes out “tit”) and then gives her a treat.
