Don’t fly anywhere.  No unncecessary travel. If your friend doesn’t understand, that’s her problem.

BuzzedBumblingBee :  haha yes exactly. How is 30 years old party important enough to fly? My priorities are definitely different than that. I wouldn’t fly for my very own birthday party. Everyone was born, not that special.

Stay at home. We only have 50 cases in New Zealand and we’ve been told to avoid domestic travel and stay home

And this is the friend who is the cruise ship doctor? Unbelievable.

I’d take the voucher. A 30th birthday is not necessary travel and I wouldn’t take any unnecessary trips.

No! A week ago our full borders were open here in Australia and now a week later there is not even domestic travel going on. A lot will change in the next few weeks and odds are by the time of her party no one will be doing anything. Just don’t even tell her if you want to avoid a scene and then I guarantee you will have a fair reason by the date and then it won’t even be your fault. Normally I would say be honest but if she’s going to be so rude she doesn’t even deserve to know accurate numbers for catering purposes.

Just adding another it’s a no from me. No travel. And unfriend. Thos friendship sounds way too high maintenance.

timonandpumba :  glad it has worked out.  Your friend sounds like a self centered piece of work though…
