I think it would look really cute if all my bridesmaids (4 of them) wore cowboy boots, but all the boots I’ve found have been way too expensive.
Does anyone know where to get inexpensive cowboy boots? Any other suggestions?

Cowboy boots are usually very expensive, however I have seen cheaper boots that resemble cowboy boots. The only thing is I usually see them towards winter time. When is your wedding?

@TB2011: February 18th, 2012.
I guess I could look as fall/winter approches. They do not necessarily have to be cowboy boots, I’m just looking for that “look”.

We are date twins! I’m going through the same thing…I saw Miranda Lambert’s photos and LOVED the idea. Let me know if you see anything and I’ll do the same.

There are cowboy style boots out there made of faux leather. This one is from http://www.6pm.com
on sale for $29.52-they don’t have all sizes but posting this an example that there are affordable boots out there
this is another boot from the same source-Zappos has them too

I bookmarked goodwill.com and watched their auctions for cowboy boots. Got a pair for $70.00 which is a great price for ariats. I would keep thrift stores in mind. But unless the girls want boots- and can use them it’s a lot of money to invest.

My girls are wearing these from Madden Girl (Steve Madden) They were $50.
My Future Sister-In-Law wnated cowboy style boots as well and found these at DSW (also a Madden Girl boot) for $60

I am doing the same thing. Even though my wedding is in Ohio ( and I live in Indiana) but my Fiance is currently living in St Louis. What I am trying to say is everytime I visit him I go to these 2 thrift shops, they have tons of boots for no more than $38. They get “new” ones in all the time. I am buying to boots for my bridesmaids as their gift 🙂 So i would def check out thrift stores!

Our girls bought their boots (or used some they already had). As long as they were brown, it wasnt a big deal to me. Some even purchased theirs at Kohls for less than $60 since they just look like boots.

@adreynolds: off topic but i love your petticoat! did you do it yourself? you did a perfect job matching it to the bm dresses!!

@kerpao: Yes we did! We took out everything that came underneath my dress and replaced it with layers of bright orange and dark red netting to match the dark orange of the bm dresses 🙂

I found some at Target that didn’t look too “cheap” and it’s also surprising how many are at good will etc. Two of my girls also got the Madden girls at DSW for around $50. Many of them sort of wanted boots anyway so it gave them an excuse to buy. Then one is actually a horse wrangler in Wyoming, so, I mean, she had them haha. Fiance and I got ours at Sheplers for around $190 each- I got the brown ariats with white flwoers down the side… very “bridal” and comfy….

And ya know, I spent $80 on the black David’s Bridal pumps before so I mean they probably expect to pay something!

Love those Madden Girl boots. Was debating whether to have my girls in cowgirl boots too but they were all way too pricey. Don’t think I’m gonna do it — while I love my boots and I know my sister who is a bridesmaid would love them….I dunno if everyone else would want them? I hate the idea of making people buy something they’ll never wear again. My Maid/Matron of Honor may wear them again but I’m not so sure. We’re gonna more than likely go with nude pumps/flats/strappy shoes. Probably going to let them pick the style so I know they’ll wear them again!
