Cowboy boots are usually very expensive, however I have seen cheaper boots that resemble cowboy boots. The only thing is I usually see them towards winter time. When is your wedding?

We are date twins! I’m going through the same thing…I saw Miranda Lambert’s photos and LOVED the idea. Let me know if you see anything and I’ll do the same.

I bookmarked goodwill.com and watched their auctions for cowboy boots.  Got a pair for $70.00 which is a great price for ariats.  I would keep thrift stores in mind.  But unless the girls want boots- and can use them it’s a lot of money to invest.

I am doing the same thing. Even though my wedding is in Ohio ( and I live in Indiana) but my Fiance is currently living in St Louis. What I am trying to say is everytime I visit him I go to these 2 thrift shops, they have tons  of boots for no more than $38. They get “new” ones in all the time. I am buying to boots for my bridesmaids as their gift 🙂 So i would def check out thrift stores!

Our girls bought their boots (or used some they already had). As long as they were brown, it wasnt a big deal to me. Some even purchased theirs at Kohls for less than $60 since they just look like boots.

@kerpao:  Yes we did! We took out everything that came underneath my dress and replaced it with layers of bright orange and dark red netting to match the dark orange of the bm dresses 🙂

I found some at Target that didn’t look too “cheap” and it’s also surprising how many are at good will etc. Two of my girls also got the Madden girls at DSW for around $50. Many of them sort of wanted boots anyway so it gave them an excuse to buy. Then one is actually a horse wrangler in Wyoming, so, I mean, she had them haha. Fiance and I got ours at Sheplers for around $190 each- I got the brown ariats with white flwoers down the side… very “bridal” and comfy….

And ya know, I spent $80 on the black David’s Bridal pumps before so I mean they probably expect to pay something!

Love those Madden Girl boots.  Was debating whether to have my girls in cowgirl boots too but they were all way too pricey.  Don’t think I’m gonna do it — while I love my boots and I know my sister who is a bridesmaid would love them….I dunno if everyone else would want them?  I hate the idea of making people buy something they’ll never wear again.  My Maid/Matron of Honor may wear them again but I’m not so sure.  We’re gonna more than likely go with nude pumps/flats/strappy shoes.  Probably going to let them pick the style so I know they’ll wear them again!
