I had planned to wear cowboy boots at my country wedding. I wear them in my day to day life & thought they would fit the setting & I don’t want my heels to sink into the grass/dirt. My ceremony is outdoors & the reception in a log cabin looking dance hall built in the 1920s. The house we are staying at is from the 1800s with floral wallpaper & handmade quilts.
I was looking at dresses that looked vintage with lace etc but wanted fiance’s approval. I tried many different styles & he always preferred the ivory satin blingy crystal beaded bodice with A-line skirt dresses by Reem Acra. There was a Rivini one that looked the same that he liked too. The one I finally chose he said I looked “shit hot” in. (He’s English) & I like the way I looked in it so I had to get it.
I’m wondering if the dress is too city for the boots. If it will work. I always thought of cowboy boots with a wedding dress as a juxtaposition anyway so maybe it will still work. I have to change all of my original ideas about flowers & the ceremony anyway now & make it less “down home” looking. I will have to cleverly mix 2 looks I think. Bling meets country. Not sure how to do that.
Here is the dress can I wear cowboy boots? Please help.
