I just started wedding dress shopping and I fell in love with the 1930s cowl back bias cut style! the issue is that a lot of theme seem to have a cowl front as well. I’ve been scouring online for photos and I can’t seem to find much variation, of any open fronts for example. I’ll be getting married on the beach and I’d really like it to be somewhat open in the front because of the heat. If I have to find another dress to add a cowl back to, I will or I might resort to designing my own.
I really would like something comfortable, with no boning, which is why i’m thinking sweetheart neckline is out. Is it possible to do thin straps with a v neck that looks like a sweetheart and then have it change to the cowl in back? Fiance said not to get a dress that flattens me out, which apparently sometimes I do, and I don’t have very much on top so I don’t think a halter or deep v is good for someone small like me. Any creative bees out there?
