So my co-worker (well, technically one of my superiors) just told me that the bridal salon she had do the alterations on her gown (the same salon I just purchased my gown from) ruined her dress. She had 5 fittings before the wedding and on her wedding day she kept pulling the top of the strapless gown up. It ruined her photos and she was uncomfortable.
She is so adamant about how they didn’t listen to her requests and how disappointed she was with the service. She actually wants me to speak with the salon and tell them about her bad experience so that I won’t get charged for alterations. I guess she feels that if I don’t have to pay for them that some justice has been served.
Since she is my boss (sort of, I don’t report to her directly) should I go back to the salon recanting her story and requesting free alterations? Should I be worried that the salon will mess up my dress?
