Hi Bees –
So I sent an email out to my some of my coworkers last week who we would like to invite to the wedding. I need the addresses for STD’s and the invitations. Several have replied with their addresses, several have not. Should I be concerned? What if they don’t reply with their address? Should I just assume that they don’t want to be invited? Should I send a follow-up email after a certain period of time? Advice please!

Can you walk over to their desks to get it? I find that email sometimes gets buried. If you want a straight answer, just pop over to them and start up a conversation about something else. Then say, “Hey…while I have you, can you give me your address quick?”

@2PeasinaPod: I agree it is probably the easiest way to handle it. Most people probably read it and figured they would get back to it later….and later never happens when we plan on it…lol.

I agree with the PPs. If you are close enough with your coworkers to invite them to your wedding, then it shouldn’t be too awkward to walk over to their desks and ask them for their info. They are probably happy you asked them and intended on replying but may have got caught up in work tasks.

go ask them/send a follow up/look it up yourself on whitepages.com
i did the latter for a nonresponder and then when non-invited coworkers weren’t around just confirmed the address with her. easy peasy!
