prism :  I just dumped my OB over how they treated me during my CP– so trust me, they need to know when they’re offering you shit service. I’d call back and want to know the exact numbers

fromatoz :  It seems that dumping OBs over how they handle a loss is a growing trend in these parts. What the hell is wrong with these practices I wonder? Have they just lost the ability to show compassion because they see this type of thing so often? It’s really infuriating.

I would call back and ask what the number was. It’s your medical record.

Do you know your blood type? If you’re Rh- and having a lot of bleeding you should have a rhogam shot regardless.

Chiming in that it’s fucked up they won’t tell you your #.

If you do go to a new OB you can sign a release medical records form and the old doc will have to send all your files to your new one.. including the results from your blood tests. It’s the easiest form in the world to fill out, btw. Pretty much just a signature and date.

I am so sorry they are fading. Sending love. I elected not to go in as I felt I knew well enough what was happening, but I say do whatever you need to process and understand.

prism :  I’m so sorry to hear this update. I would still go ahead and get the second beta draw, as test line darkness is not the most reliable indicator of the direction a pregnancy is headed in. The blood test will give you a beter picture of what’s going on and can help rule out ectopic too. Big hugs bee.

prism :  echoing tiffany, I’d still go. It can’t hurt to get that final number. But so glad to hear you’ve found a new OB for next time around.
