The title is self-explanatory. 🙂 I’m leaning towards Becker, but I’ve heard mixed reviews on it (although the majority have been positive). Sadly, I feel that the entire process of getting my BA in Accounting was so smushed together that I retained next to nothing, so I will need a really good review course, which is why I will pay the large wad of cash for Becker, if the need be.
I’ve heard of Bisk, Gleim, Wiley (we used with our courses in college), Yaegar and Becker. I have no idea which one to go with. I’m a very hands-on/visual learner.
Thanks, bees! 🙂

I know someone who used Becker and passed all 4 parts in one sitting. Of course the person dedicated the whole summer to classes and studying and having no life 🙁

Lol. I’m willing to make that dedication. Well, aside from having wifey duties and working. But thankfully I will be allowed to study 2-3 hours a day at work. Plus, Darling Husband says until I find a job closer to home with a little better pay, no babies, so I’m ready to kick it in the butt regardless of what I have to do!

I used Bisk and passed all 4 parts with it. It was cheaper than Becker, and I know KPMG pays for their employees to use it, so I figured if it was good enough for Big 4, it was probably pretty good! Good luck!

Does Bisk have simulations and such? My old accounting professor just recommended Bisk, actually. I just can’t sit and read though. I don’t retain it because I start thinking of everything except what I’m reading. Lol.
Also, how many hours per week (and how many weeks) should I prepare? I know everyone is different, but let’s say for the average person.
