I’m aiming for our wedding to have a relaxed, natural, modern-rustic feel to it.
I’m also on a budget, so I needed to find ceremony decor that fit the bill and, well, the “bill”. (Har har.)
I didn’t want anything too complicated for decor – I wanted something easy that had a pleasant and memorable visual impact.
Who knew I’d find my aisle decor at Michael’s?
I think moss balls are fun and cool-looking (and fit with the natural vibe) and remembered that I had seen about 3 of them at Michael’s a few months ago. Lucky for me, they had a bunch more when I went yesterday, along with lanterns that got the gears in my brain turning – at 40% off, I had to try them out. (The white ones will be at the front.)
I turned one of the aisles into an “aisle” (har har again?) and was really happy with the results!
I’m going to see if I can find any white or cream-coloured candles at Dollarama for the lanterns.
I’ll also have a table with chocolates and a lime water dispenser (green is one of our colours), along with 2 altar arrangements, but I just wanted to share my craft store decor finds and encourage y’all to check out your local craft stores if you haven’t already done so!

That looks great, and very elegant (Michael’s aisle notwithstanding)

@NicoleMatt100111: They’re tagged at $8.49 each, and they’re 6″ in diameter. If you’re a teacher you get 15% off, and there are often so many sale coupons for Michael’s.
(Even at full price, that’s comparable to online prices I’ve seen – and much less than the $25/ea a local florist quoted for 7″ ones.)

The store let you do that? And nobody tried to get into that aisle before you took the picture? Or did you have to block the aisle? LOL

@happyface: One of the saleswomen saw me doing it and didn’t seem to have any issues with it – it was a pretty slow day (raining outside). 2 women came through and spent some time, but I didn’t mind since they were entitled to shop. I just waited until the aisle was clear to take the pictures 🙂
