Last night, I found this picture on a blog of these pretty pew decorations, but I’m not sure how they were made or what to use to make them? Should I buy bulk fabric, chair sashes, table runners?? What would be easiest? Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated! Thanks : )

They look like chair sashes to me.

I think you should just buy material. It would be cheapest and the amount of sewing you’d need to do to make them look like that would be minimal (if you can use a sewing machine)
Love the look!

@DeathByDesign: haha i’m not the best at sewing, so i may just buy chair sashes, unless i can find someone to sew for me! haha

I would probably buy fabric (using a 40% coupon from Hancock’s/Joann’s/etc), measure your pews so that you know your desired length, and cut them in about 8″ wide strips to the desired length (two times pew width plus about 3 feet for the tails). Fold the strips in half to make 4″ strips (shiny side inside) and use fusible tape or sewing machine to sew the folded ends together. Then turn them inside out and you’ll have a beautiful, long double-sided satin strips that can be tied around the pews and knotted. To finish the ends, you can use double sided tape on the inside.

I would measure the pews then order chair sashes if the length was adequate. I love to sew but it would be silly to devote all that time and energy to make something that is readily available at minimal cost. You can get chair sashes in virtually any color or fabric you like.
It’s basically just a bow with a rhinestone pin attached.
