It’s a long-standing joke that bridesmaid dresses are ugly. The people at UglyDress.com have assembled a mind-boggling collection of bad bridesmaids dresses. Print out your favorite ones (if you can stop laughing), and use them to creatively make a card. You can write inside something like “I know you’ve always wanted to wear a peach monstrosity with a butt-widening bow on the back. Will you be a part of our wedding party?” or “I will never ask you to wear an ugly dress, as long as you’re my bridesmaid!”

Make a small photo album of pictures of the two of you. On the last page, write your wedding date, leaving room for a photo of the two of you. As she’s looking through the book, and gets to that page, say “I can’t wait to put a picture of the two of us from my wedding day on that page. Would you be my bridesmaid?”

I made each of my girls photo montage cards and crafted a personal message for each asking them to be a bridesmaid. I also made gift bags for each with candy that I know each of them likes, a token that’s specific to my friendships for each of them, a $5 gift card for Starbucks or another place that they are a fan of. They all received rave reviews!!

For my 3 best friends I am considering making them small broach bouquets with maybe 5 boaches in each. I was going to put them in a box with a card under them with a poem saying something like this:

The Day, the dress
The Bride, the Groom
The Joy the tears will all come soon

confessing true love to my husband-to-be
with family and friends all watching me
Pray the sun will be shining down
and that i will fi t into my gown

Now there is just one more thing that is left to be and thats to have you standing with me…

Will you be my bridesmaid?
