I know this many come off as mean and insensitive which I’m not trying to be.
Lately I have seen many ads in my area from brides wanting free wedding items I mine major items. I also had someone contact me through my ad saying I would never get that price for my items and I should just give it to them. This has really ticked me off. I mean I had to pay full price and spend hours DIYing and searching for my wedding items. Why should I not expected to get some money for my items (I wanted half the purchased price). I also had a tough life and limited funds but I worked my tail off to make my money and budget work. I also had family and friends help. I really guess it is just the sense of entitlement that these ads give off, like I should help them just because I had/have money. To me a marriage is more then a wedding. If you want to get married get married go to the courthouse and save for a party later. Just my 2 cents.

Wow, yeah, that’s not cool. I buy off Craigslist a lot, and I do tend to lowball the first offer, but I’d never say someone should just give me an item they’re selling for free.

I mean I have close friends OFFER things and I think I once asked in a FB group if anyone had a replica of a certain pair of earrings or something close that weren’t like $500, but that’s as close as I’ve gotten.
I’m DIYing so much and I can understand people wanting to spend money, but if I have to bust my ass (when I really don’t have the time for it) to keep within budget, why aren’t you capable?
I had a sh*t life. I have no biological family any more. Yes, it must suck having your mother only paying for 30% of your wedding. I’m paying for this whole thing BY MYSELF.
*sorry, one of my pet peeves as well, LOL!*

I have had people from Craigs list tell me that I would never get my asking price for my items and to just give it to them for free too. LOL Not just wedding stuff either. Tell them to sod off.

I check Craigslist daily for wedding stuff and it seems like lately there are a lot of posts requesting free stuff. I thought it was a bit weird. I mean, if you cant afford a wedding then get married at City Hall. Begging just sounds so bad.

There are always entitled beggers on CL, but usually they are mothers who feel entitled to getting your things for free. I posted an iPad for sale, and a couple mothers with sob stories felt I should basically just give it to them, ya know, because they need a free or cheap iPad.

Kind of glad to know that I’m not the only one out there who feels this way.

@kcaggiebiz: um…you are not wrong for wanting money for those things. If you were asking a couple dollars less than full price that is one thing…but half? most likely only used once? I call that a deal! lol

We have a thing in our local area, i dont know how far it reaches but maybe some of you bee’s have it too, where people can post things that they want or need or even stuff that they have for free. You would think you would see stuff like diapers for my baby or shoes for my kids to play at school in. NO!!! you see people asking for stuff like:
Men’s motorcross boots
virgin mobile cell phone
I mean really. It just seems wierd to me, but I guess that just me and maybe I am missing someting.

I gave away a lot of items on craigslist for free because I didn’t want them in my house and still had backlash because I refused to mail or meet people anywhere. (Bsaically said I putting it out on the road come get it).
It’s craiglist, people post pictures of their genitals on that site, I’m not really surprised you’re not getting the highest quality of customers.

@MrsPinkPeony: Wow people wanted you to deliver that is nuts! I had no idea people but photos of their genitals on there.
