My friend found a makeup artist and hair stylist on Craigslist that was cheaper then other places and she used her for her wedding and it worked out to perfect. SO….i was thinking of doing the same I found a stylist and makeup artist who just moved to the area from CA she has greta references and her website shows awesome pictures. I emailed her and she gave me a good price 150 for a trial run for both and that covers the day of services. She also said for my Bridesmaid or Best Man she would chage them 45 for hair or 75 for both. Has anyone ever used a stylist or makeup artist off craigslist or a site like it?

I’m interested to hear the responses because I just emailed a makeup artist from Craigslist yesterday. I have my stylist making the trip to WI from IL for me, so I’m not worried about that, but I have no idea who to ask about makeup so I turned to Craigslist. Unfortunately, I haven’t heard back yet from the woman.

I haven’t personally, but I see nothing wrong with it in this situation. If she didn’t have a website, reviews, or references I would be skeptical. I’ve found a lot of things on craigslists from sofas to jobs, and as long as you keep an eye out and avoid anything sketchy sounding it can be a really great resource.
