Hi ladies, I’m around 8DPO (my temping was off this month, but I’m fairly certain I’m between 7-9) and for the last few days, I’ve had cramping/twinges in my right side. In a normal cycle, I do feel the O cramps – which I did this month. But this feels different from O and it’s definitely not period cramping, and I’m having lots of backaches the past few days. I wouldn’t say it’s painful, more just uncomfortable. Would this be typical of implantation cramping or am I nuts? No spotting or anything. Doing my best not to symptom-spot but it’s just something that’s never happened before, and I feel a bit off, so I’m wondering.

I could always tell when I O’d and I felt a different type of cramp about 3 days before I tested, happened most often when I was sitting in a chair or in the car. I took my first test at 11 DPO that was a squinter. You know your body. If this is NOT something you felt before, then this IS different. We all know what it’s like to reach for symptoms when they aren’t really there.

I’m 6 weeks pregnant and around 9 dpo I had “different ” cramps and a tiny tiny tinge of blood when I wiped-sorry Too Much Information. I took a test that day and got a pretty clear positive. I’m not trying to get your hopes up but that was my experience. However there were times I felt something “different” and I’d take a test and it was negative so I was definitely guilty of symptom spotting too.

I was ALWAYS symptom spotting! On the month we got our BFP I felt ‘pulling’ on my left side (the same side I had felt O pain 6/7 days before. I never got that usually. about 4 days later I got my BFP!

beebee27: I’m at 7DPO, and had some slight cramping all weekend… off and on. It’s like ovulation pain, but not as bad.
Has your temp dropped? My dropped this morning, so I’ll see where it is tomorrow – in case that is the implantation dip everyone talks about. But, it definitely is hard not to symptom spot at the moment!

@mrscross1020 Yes, that’s how I am! We were traveling yesterday and I felt it more those 2 hours in the car and today sitting at work, I’m feeling more.
@morganc8 congratulations! I hear ya..I think sometimes our bodies like to play tricks on us, especially when we’re TTC!
@happytobemrsg I know I tend to symptom spot but it’s hard because I feel like I’m probably more in tune (maybe too in tune) with my body than most people so I think I feel all the weird twinges and pains and aches – not good when TTC! haha
Thank you ladies for your responses! I’m going to try to hold out a couple of days to test; hoping it’s not another BFN! You guys have given me a bit of hope 🙂

Mine just felt like period cramping. But I’m not that in tune with my body!

I had implantation cramping but it was pretty much indistinguishable from menstrual cramps. I thought they were menstrual cramps.

My implantation at 8dpo felt like tugging down from my belly button, never felt before. Woke me up a few times in the night and lasted a couple of days. Got BFP at 10dpo

beebee27: During my TWW I had a lot of weird crampy feelings and twinges, even the weird tugging feeling at my belly button like B2BMay2015 mentioned, but AF showed up a day early last Friday. So, while it sounds hopeful, it’s so hard to tell 🙁 FX for you!

Thanks for the responses and support, ladies! Just wnated to give an update. So far I am on day 2 of no AF, which is a bit unusua as it’s normally very regular, l but I also have zero signs of AF, which is very unusual. Normally I spot for the 3-5 days prior – so much fun – but I’ve got nothing other than a feeling like it could be starting but just isn’t. My boobs hurt something awful, I’m tired, hungry all the time, and I’m nauseous half the time (no throwing up though). BUT I got a BFN on Sunday (day before AF was due). I’m stopping to pick up another box of tests tonight after work and will retest. We’ll see…
