Saturday I had a horrible cramp like to the point that I couldn’t move. I really don’t think they were BH because I’ve had BH and they were NOTHING like this at all. Then this morning at like 4am the same thing! It was soo bad! But both times it was just one bad cramp for a minute or less.
Anyone have something like this happen to them?
Possible sign of labor?

eecuadrado: You are pretty far into your pregnancy. You should be having weekly visits with your doctor at this point right? if not every couple weeks? if you are then i would say as long as there is no bleeding or other complications, wait til your next appointment and mention it and see what the doctor says. I had a lot of strange aches and pains at the end of my pregnancy. the last ten weeks I was always sore or getting weird pains. Things are shifting and your body is getting ready for labor and delivery. I wouldn’t worry too much (says the nonpregnant girl lol). If it will help, maybe call your doctors office and talk to a nurse or the doctor if possible if youwon’t have a visit in the near future.

stardustintheeyes: Yes I am going to the doctors every two weeks now so I figured I would wait until my next appointment unless the cramps increase.

eecuadrado: Keep in mind that BH can sometimes be really intense. I had some that were so bad I thought I was actually in active labor. I wasn’t I just needed some water. If you don’t mind me asking, when you say a cramp, was it a sharp pain? a dull pain? was it in your abdomen or more like your groin area? side, back, lower higher? basically would you mind elaborating more?

eecuadrado: There is so much loosening going on in that area and things are shifting so much that I wouldn’t be too worried based on the area you said it’s in. I had absolutely terrible groin pain when I was around the 30 week mark up until I had my son. When I made certain movements or sat a certain way for too long, I would get terrible pains or heara popping noise in my groin area. I was told it was round ligament pain. When that would happen, sometimes I would get a cramp like sensation in my groin area that would be so sharp I would just be frozen for a second or I would actually yelp out in pain. Definitely mention it to the doctor though. Late pregnancy can be so uncomfortable :\ hope this helps to maybe ease your mind a tad.

It could just be round ligament pain or things shifting around making more room for the baby. Unless they are frequent or timeable I wouldn’t worry but you can always call your doctor before your next appointment.

Sounds like baby is just getting comfy and getting lower in there. Towards the end of my pregnancy, I had a lot of sharp pains, due to Dear Daughter hanging around low 🙂

eecuadrado: there was this small period of time where my sons feet were aimed downward and he would kick and I would actually feel it in what felt like my cervix. That was horrible!!!!! I don’t know if that’s actually what was happening but it sure felt like it!
I also pulled a muscle in my abdomen during my 7th month and when I would lay on my right side and my son would kick or move in certain ways he would hit that muscle but from the inside (duh) and it was so painful! I’m so envious of those women who love being pregnant. I did not love being pregnant because I had such odd aches and pains and just a rather yucky pregnancy all around. But…. I want more babies so it obviously wasn’t that terrible! 🙂
