How many of you are/ did have cramps early in your pregnancy? When you had them what were they like? How often did you have them?
I’m getting worried because cramps are one of my only symptoms so far- I’m 4w4d, and they make me feel so scared about MC. I’ve been getting quick moderately painful cramps here and there about 2-5 times a day since the day before I got my BFP. Each time the cramping will last only about 30 sec at most and I haven’t been spotting at all. Am I making things worse in my head or should I be worried? 🙁

I had crazy bad cramps up until about 8 weeks, usually a couple times per day. They were so bad that, if I was standing, I had to stop whatever I was doing and bend over, and if I was laying down, I’d curl up into the fetal position. They were like the worst period cramps x10. Super painful.
My midwife told me it was just the uterus stretching and making room for baby! Especially if you’re not having any other symptoms, I don’t think its a reason to be worried 🙂

I don’t think you should be worried at all! I had lots of cramping just before my BFP, and cramping during my 4th week up until about 4w4d? It tapered off to a few little “pinches” here and there, but more or less not much going on now (just hit 5w today :)). I kind of wish I did have a few more cramps right now but I think you typically experience the cramping with implantation which is basically a done deal now!
Congrats and don’t stress! Have you gone to a doctor to get any beta’s or anything done that might help you feel more confortable? And no spotting is a great thing.. and remember, cramping is 100% perfectly normal!!

I am still getting cramping low and centralized. Its about a moderate pain. I am 6 weeks 6 days.

I would not worry at all. I had fairly bad and frequent cramping my entire first trimester, actually even a few weeks in to my 2nd. It’s very common due to implantation, stretching and growing of your uterus. If it’s not accompanied by fever or bleeding (my doctor said any spotting larger than 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch spot) or extreme pain causing you to be doubled over then there is nothing to worry about. Some people get more cramping than others, some get none at all. But what you’re feeling is definitely normal and may continue for many weeks to come.
I’m 28 weeks today with a perfectly healthy baby. Congratulations, by the way!

I didn’t but I hear it’s very normal. 🙂

I had it for both my pregnancies, but it was derfinately more prominent in the first. I also have a severe bicornuate uterus so it was very one sided and quite painful. It has to do with your uterus growing and the ligaments starting to stretch. It is quite common. Try not to worry and relax 🙂

I have heard cramping is very common in early pregnancy – it is your uterus stretching and making it nice and cozy in there for little one 🙂

I’m 7 weeks today and I’ve had bad cramping since 4 weeks. Had both external and internal ultrasound done last week and everything was fine – the doctor said it’s completely normal. There were a few times that I got really scared because the cramps were pretty bad, but everything’s fine! Try not to stress and worry – it’s certainly normal! 🙂 Congratulations!!!

Some cramping is normal. If you’re not bleeding then you’re fine! 🙂

I had a lot of cramping from 4w to 7w. I even had minor spotting for a week. It TOTALLY felt like my period was coming, and it could be intense at times. It worried me too, but my OB said it is normal.

I had period-like cramping from 6DPO to about 5-7 weeks of my pregnancy. It was pretty much all day long. Even now at 11 weeks, I still have cramping once or twice a day, sometimes. Its more mild now than it was in the beginning, but still there. I thonk its normal bc your uterus is stretching and growing and you’re also growing a ton of new blood vessels. I know it’s nearly impossible to not worry during your pregnancy, but the best piece of advice that I was given is to trust God and my body, bc they both know whay they’re doing. If you have severe cramping along with spotting or bleeding, then that might be a problem and I’d go to the ER, but mild to even moderate period-like cramping is very normal….and sometimes they even seem pretry strong for a few minutes. Happy and healthy 9 months to you!!

I had mild cramping during the first trimester. I can’t remember for how long, though, I just know its definitely normal due to your uterus stretching.

I had cramping every evening for a couple weeks in early pregnancy, I think weeks 5-7. Mine were no worse than period cramps, and generally went away after a couple hours. But man, that was annoying.
