I haven’t been pregnant, but I am on birth control, and I have cramping on and off throughout the month. Try not to drive yourself crazy symptom spotting!

@sleepyhead22:  It’s unlikely that you are pregnant from taking one pill 10 hours later.  Cramping mid cycle is a common side effect of taking a pill late.  I have been on birth control for most of the last 15 years and even with taking the occasional late pill or missing one completely, I have never accidentally gotten pregnant while on the pill.  Keep taking the rest of pills as normal and try to relax; stressing out will only delay your period when you you get to the end of the pack.  And yes, I have had what are considered classic pregnancy signs while on birth control many times over the years.

@sleepyhead22:  FWIW, I did, much more sustained and less sharp than typical AF cramps. But then again lots of people get cramps right before AF.

I do have cramping, but it is lower intensity, and of longer duration than period cramps. I would also echo that I doubt you are pregnant – at least for me, there were times when I’d skip a day – or TWO! – and got my period on time after doubling up the next 2 days.

ZOMG this is painful!!! I would be getting like 10 First Response tests.  If it really is implantation cramping, maybe you have enough hCG in your system to find out now?!

If you must, go to the local Dollar Tree or Walmart and buy a discount pregnancy test. I always keep 2-3 cheap tests lying around so when I have symptoms I can test and alleviate my concerns.  The Dollar Tree tests for $1 are a bargain for peace of mind.

I did have cramping the week before AF…

BUT I always have cramping the week prior to AF. To be quite honest, my symptoms were nearly identical to my PMS symptoms (lower back pain, low grade cramps, sore boobs).

That said, I had severe pain and nausea earlier in the month which I’m guessing now may have been the implantation. That lasted less than a day.

@sleepyhead22:  If it makes you feel better, there’s only a 15-25% chance of becoming pregnant in each ovulatory cycle, and you weren’t TTC or even NTNP so I’m semi-inclined to believe that your chance is lower than that.

And I agree it’s a pain that the symptoms are so similar! I spent two months thinking I would get a BFP because “it just feels different” and finally when I didn’t think it felt any different, I got my BFP. LOL
