Due to an unexpected budget cut as well as an unexpected rise in my stylist’s price, I might have to do my own hair. That makes me really nervous, because the day that Fiance proposed and the day we did our engagement pictures, my hair went frustratingly wrong. Granted, this time I would definitely practice a ton rather than wing it, invest in more products etc., but I’m still nervous.
These are my inspiration pictures, though I’m really not picky. Would be happy with either or a conglomeration of both. Basically, I want a loose, curly updo with a few fringe curls around my face.
Could anyone tell me how either of these hairstyles could be made?
Check out Letsmakeitup1 on youtube. She posted a video with how to do her wedding hair and it was a very similar low updo. If that doesn’t quite fit the bill, she has plenty of other updo videos to draw inspiration from. HTH!!
The first one reminds me a bit of an Eva Longoria updo tutorial I found on YouTube a few months back for another bee…it didn’t seem too difficult, but something I’d want to test out it’s holding power for once or twice before the big day!
Any barber colleges nearby? Sounds kinda risky, but I’ve been to a few and had fancy hair done (I had my graduation hair done at one and it turned out amazeballs) and you might be able to get it for cheap or for free. If you have it done at the college, the professors are right there watching the students, so they’re not going to set your hair on fire or anything.
You get your hair done for cheap, they get an education! Win/win.
I did my own hair but wore it down with just a few curls so it was fairly easy, not sure if I would trust myself to put my hair up, but you’ve got plenty of time to practice if you’re not getting married until May.
You tube is your friend there are ton of girls how post hairstyles on there. Look them up and then practice practice practice, maybe wear it out if you have a big night out planed or on a girls night to see if holds up.
Another option look for a local costomology school in the area. They may have students who be willing to do your hair. Of course try them out first.
