I cry ALL the time over EVERYTHING. I’ve cried at every wedding I’ve been to thus far, so it’s pretty safe to say that I’ll be having a massive bawlfest when I walk down the aisle.

Oh, I am going to cry. Definitely. Especially because I know my dad will get teared up, and… just thinking about it makes me emotional. And FH will probably get teared up too. Aw. We’ll all be crying messes!

Ok.  I have cried at every wedding I have ever gone to.  This includes weddings where I went as a random date and I had never even met the bride and the groom.  Guess what, I didn’t cry AT ALL at my own.  Go figure?!

I think by the time the wedding comes, you are so overwhelmed by the details and you have gotten the crying out.

My recommendations, be alone the night before the wedding.  I stayed in our wedding suite the night before alone.  I am so glad I did.  I wasn’t with my family, my Darling Husband or my bridesmaids.  I went to sleep early and when my alarm went off, went cookoo bonkers.  First, I thought OMG it’s my wedding day, then I started screaming, then jumped up and down on the bed, then took a bath and started to cry out of happiness.  Yes.  I am a total lunetic.  It helped.  After meeting my bridesmaids for our hair, we all came back to my suite to do our makeup. We had some champagne, which helped too.

When the wedding time came and we were going downstairs to be driven to the ceremony, I was running through the halls of the Four Seasons screaming “I’m getting marred today!!!!!” I had a bit of emotion when I put the dress on in front of my mom and new Mother-In-Law, but walking down the aisle, I was just beaming.  I was just SO HAPPY, and not in a teary way.  I had teared up at the rehearsal dinner, even during our planning sessions, but not on the day of the wedding.

I know this sounds crazy now, but honestly, take the whole day in and when it comes down to walking down the aisle, just start smiling… start beaming because you are getting married and don’t even think about crying.  Crying and tearing up is for the OMG I am GOING to get married moments, smiling and beaming is for the OMG I am GETTING MARRIED RIGHT NOW moments.

Also, wear water resistent mascara just in case πŸ™‚

I ALWAYS cry at other people’s weddings, and I cried while writing out my vows… but I did NOT cry at my own wedding ceremony!  I was (pleasantly) surprised that I didn’t cry… since I paid an arm and a leg for my makeup!!  Tongue out

I’m convinced I’ll be crying the entire day.  I’m still searching for a great waterproof mascara, waterproof liquid eyeliner and waterproof eyelash glue to get me through the day.

This weekend we went to choose our ceremony music and both of our eyes started welling up.  It’s gonna be a wet one.

I think I am going to cry like crazy! When I think about walking with my dad toward my Fiance… uh! Even now, there go the water works! My Fiance is probably going to be teary as well, so hopefully we will comfort each other at the altar πŸ™‚

Pretty sure I’ll be a cryer… I used to be the kinda gal that’d cry about once a fortnight for whatever reason. This year I’ve started teaching full time, I’m planning a wedding and building a house and I realised the other day I haven’t cried in ages! Like, pretty much ALL YEAR! I’m a bit worried its all gonna come out on the day! LOL

I think I’ll be fine until I see the fella and then I’ll loose it! I have grand plans of grinning like a loon and giving him a huge hug when I get there but in actuality I’ll probably be doing the ugly cry instead! LOL

I was BEAMING like an idiot all the way up the aisle but Darling Husband didn’t turn around until I was about half way to the altar (his best man told him he had to wait – AGH) and the minute he turned around my face went to mush.  The photos are funny – me with a big silly grin – walking, walking, walking – Darling Husband turns around and BAM – I look like a mushed up goober.

Fortunately I didn’t lose it completely – I regained my composure and a normal facial expression once I got my hands on him!  Laughing

I think I’ll need my Maid/Matron of Honor to carry two bottles of water for rehydration purposes.
