I can’t believe how bloated I am! I’m 4w3d (almost) and I can barely button my pants! I’m so uncomfortable when anything tight is against my stomach that I ran out and bought a belly band. I have IBS to begin with, so I get bloated pretty easily (especially before my period!)… should I expect it to stay this bad?
What have you ladies experienced with bloating?

My bloating tends to vary day to day. It was much worse around six weeks for me than it is now (11 weeks 4 days). I was a couple days shy of seven weeks on Thanksgiving and bloating plus all the eating caused me to have to wear a tummy sleeve. I think my bloating has gone down quite a bit though so hopefully it will for you too. I don’t noticed gas nearly as much as I did at the beginning.

I’m six weeks. The bloating comes and goes. I really notice it when I wear my work pants. Today was an especially bloaty one for me with lots of gas. I’m used to the bloat now, but others are more aware of it. I don’t plan on getting anything until it gets worse.

@mandb122: @cascadecherub: Oh boy! I guess I have more bloat to look forward to! I’m wondering if the IBS is just making it worse for me from the get go or if it’ll go down within the next few days or so. Thanks for the responses!

I was insanely bloated from almost day 1. It eventually went away right before the bump started to form.. maybe at like 14 weeks? Don’t be afraid to buy maternity clothes early to help with the bloat. I had some my friend loaned me and literally started wearing them and using my belly band at like 10 weeks. I didn’t really need them compared to how I do now, but they were MUCh more comfortable, and I didn’t see a point in being uncomfortable.
