I got my Dirty Delete a hamster for Christmas (so we have had it 6 months). It is a male hamster, he is great we play with him all the time. The past couple days when I have taken him out of his cage I have noticed his testicles are swollen. Sometimes its just one, sometimes its both, and then sometimes they go back to normal. Her room isn’t overly warm, but the temperature outside is warmer then what it has been. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas before I call the vet.
P.S- I know this kind of a crazy weddingbee question:)

While I feel for the hamster’s medical issue, I could help but laugh a little. I would go ahead and take him to the vet. Swollen reproductive organs are seldom a good thing. We had a little hamster named Quibbles who sadly got cancer and had to be put to sleep. Funny how we grow to love these little rodents. good luck.

@MrsFuzzyFace: I know, I keep trying to tell my husband what is going on and he cannot believe I keep talking about the little guys nuts. I think we would all be devistated if it were something serious.

surprisingly when i went to google “hamster has swollen testicles” it was the first thing that popped up when i started typing lol. So this may not be as crazy a question as you thought! after reading a few articles and whatnot I think a vet visit would be best as it could be anything from a bite of somekind, to a growth or sign of sickness. There are numerous possibilities. So yea, i would take the little guy to the vet, he may be in pain and its best to get answers as early as possible.
