People are turds. It’s best not to engage those sorts, because it makes you more angry in the end. And in the end, it really doesn’t matter.

I would have been hard pressed to not say something at the checkout line.

“glad to see you found your sweater…………bitch.”

Don’t you hate people like that?

It’s so hard not to engage.

@Diamond84:  Considering she was RIGHT in the door, I don’t think your reaction was far off base. People just suck. And besides, her name wasn’t on the room.

People are idiots.  I would have had to throw in “your just made yourself look like a total moron, for nothing” just for good measure.

@Diamond84:  So she thought you stole her blue sweater? If you were a thief I’m sure you would want to steal the cute Macy’s clothing and not her ugly used sweater! lol

Yes the lady was rude and confrontational but if it was you and you thought that someone took your dressing room and stole something of yours would you just let them walk away or not at least question them? Maybe the sweater has significance to her- maybe it was the last gift her deceased husband gave her. Maybe she has alzheimers?

Did she handle it right- no way but is she an evil idiot (or any other word used in the posts above) probably not. Would you have preferred to be search by store security? Maybe apologising for the misunderstanding (about the dressing room) first would have put the lady in a less hostile mood.
