i know this is a little crazy..but we’re thinking of garter/bouquet toss alternatives…we were thinking 2 different pinatas, one for the guys and one for the gals with a lil something hidden inside for one lucky guest…
being that the FH is from san diego he was excited about this and immediately jumped on board…then i saw a horrible you tube video and realized that this could either
- take forever
- be really chaotic
- be a turn off b/c women aren’t going to want to scrounge around for candy and prizes in their dresses (even though i’m totally with it and i’ve seen some pretty nasty bouquet toss photos)
what do you guys think?

i think it might work if its well thought out and if you’re going to have kids there b/c they’ll participate regardless…i’ve seen some ideas about this on the offbeat bride that you may want to check out.
sorry i couldn’t be of much help. good luck!

Just make sure you get the kind of pinata that is made for breaking! Quite honestly, a group of adults shouldn’t take more than three or four people a couple of swings each to break the thing. I think it’s a fun idea!

we are also doing a pinata!
i want to put a special prize in it too, but i am not sure what.

sugaryrocks, i’m so glad to hear someone else is doing this!
so we’re thinking either movie tickets, a $10-15 gas card, or a gift card of some sort which can be purchased at a grocery store (blockbuster, a restaurant, etc)…we’re having a dry wedding but someone else had suggested mini plastic liquor bottles…
have you all decided whether you guys blindfolding people or just letting them take turns going at it?
we’re thinking of letting the kids get in on the action…
