I’m here as a bridesmaid.
My friend (bride) is incredibly laid back with respect to our dresses. We all live in different states/countries, so shopping together was essentially impossible. She chose to let us choose our own dresses (given colour, length etc), and other than giving constructive criticism based on our individual shapes and styles, she’s pretty much said as long as we are happy, she’s happy.
Heres where we get to my question; I’m in a part of the world where there are very few bridal/formal wear shops to buy off the rack. We’re also getting close on time, so ordering online feels like my only option. I’m not very experienced with online dress shopping though, and I worry that I’ll order something online, and if it looks bad on me, I won’t have time to get something better. So I’m seriously considering buying two (online dresses are pretty cheap compared to what I was expecting). It’s just so hard to know how they’ll sit in my body without trying them on!!
What should I do? I don’t want to tell the bride I’m even considering it as I think she’ll worry I’m spending too much and she’ll feel guilty (even though I absolutely wouldn’t want her to).
