To me it just seems to be too much contrast.

1. get rid of the black ribbon.

2.move the cards up to the top of each box

3. have a teal feather on each side of each box- not just one side

It looks great; however, I would get wider black satin ribbon and replace the pink with that, and then put the skinnier pink ribbon where the black ribbon is now. Darker colors should always go on first; IMO.

@julies1949: I agree with this! The feathers are the big thing to me, they need to be symmetrical. Though that may be my own neurosis lol!

I say stick with the one feather, but keep the side it’s on consistent. I also prefer it in the lower position you had it in. I would swap out the black paper backer to something a bit more gentle. It’s a big contrast and doesn’t really tie in with the softness of the pink.

I like it without the black ribbon, but with the feathers and whatnot where they were in the first pic.

It looks a little messy to me…so much going on! : (

If you keep the black ribbon, I would totally get rid of those long tails. Just make a simple little bow.  And perhaps a solid satin black ribbon so it matches the material of the box more.

Think the ribbon under the black ribbon should also probably be solid satin too or maybe even black to tie in your colors better??

I would get rid of the bottom card and feather, just have one card on the top.

Also maybe try playing with the feather placement. Perhaps remove the little bling on the top bow and work the feathers in there somehow.

Found these pics that might give some inspiration.

I added this picture of mine to maybe give some help!  I see you used satin for the box!  Satin is hard to work with but make sure you have crisp edges to the folds to help you have a stream line box.  I think you too need another tier, go three instead of two.  Also, if your ribbon has wire in it, you will find it will never lay flat to the box!  Choose another ribbon type.  It also helps to use spray glue instead of hot glue, holds great and doesn’t leave the mess like hot glue!  Good luck!

I would have kept the feathers in the original position and move only the card up higher.
