Does anyone have any creative card box ideas? I was inspired/reminded by Miss Star’s Empire State Building post yesterday, which I thought was great.
Better yet, does anyone have any links or posts or pictures to show me? Help!

I saw this on the boards
But am hoping for something a bit less spendy. DIY ideas welcome!

We’re making a card box like the one on JMC’s link 🙂

I was recently at a wedding where the bride DIY’d the box. I don’t know if she has a blog but I’ll try to explain it here..
She took a lazy susan (the type you can buy at Ikea for $4) and glued a sturdy box on it. She painted the box and cut a slit for cards at the top. She then took picture frames (with their E-Pics) and glued them on! This way, the box swiveled so everyone could see all the pics. I think it could be a easy DIY project with a little bit of creativity!
Good luck 🙂

What about Mrs. Avocado’s idea of a vintage suitcase or basket?
There are some cute and cheap options ($15-20) at craft stores like Michael’s and JoAnns.

I think she has instructions on her website….thought about doing this and ran out of time!

I like the idea of using an old mailbox- spraypainting it the colors of your wedding and setting it at your guest book table.

Thanks, everybody! Love the vintage suitcase/basket idea esp. Maybe the thrift shops is the way to go.

I’m thinking about using an old-school metal lunchbox. I think that would be cute and all retro-y. 🙂

Total cost under $10

I did a birdcage that I painted and affixed buttons too…buttons are part of our loose motif.
