I fell in love with the idea of using Mercury glass vases for my centerpieces. But found out quickly how expensive they are! I found on post on here that said to use Krylon glass look spray paint which I tried it was more of a silver mat then mercury glass. So we started playing with different things……Silver leaf, Chrome spray paint(much cheaper then “glass look”) and champagne spray paint was the final recipe! They came out great I am SO HAPPY about them! They were about a 5 step process but well worth it! My Maid/Matron of Honor and I made 35 of them…..for only $60!!!
Anyone else doing something like this or getting creative for centerpieces?

Hi, this is EXACTLY what I hope to do with my centerpieces, since actual mercury glass is so expensive. Could you provide a step-by-step description of the process? This is the most realistic version I’ve seen yet.
