I sneakily used FH’s phone to post “FH asked…” as his status, then quickly posted “Leprechaun said yes!” as mine.  We got a lot of comments from our mutual friends about how neat it was to see them next to each other on their newsfeeds πŸ™‚

All I wrote was “I said yes.”

I posted a picture of my hand with the ring. The caption was, “Permanent smile on this girl’s face!” πŸ™‚ Yep…still smiling!

I just searched through my facebook to see what i put and it was: ‘Everything is so much more fun with an engagement ring on my finger!!” It was fun to look back and see everyone’s well wishes again!

After calling my Mom and best friend, I wrote something like: Love what J___ gave me for my birthday. Then, I changed my status to engaged. I am smooth like that! LOL! Eventually, I posted a picture (we were on vaca though so that didn’t happen right away).

Right after getting engaged, we soaked up the moment for a few hours, then called our parents (they already knew though) & immediate family/best friends, then sent out a mass text from his phone. As far as fb, all I did was change my relationship status to “engaged” about a week later & just that generated quite a bit of attention….

I put “Peaches loves her fiance,” and changed the relationship status to engaged (which, we didn’t put our relationship status on Facebook previously).  We changed it late in the evening we got engaged after contacting the essential family and friends…I wanted to wait until the next day so I could tell people at work, but my Future Father-In-Law said he was going to put it on Facebook if we didn’t.  πŸ™‚

After we had gotten in touch with everyone we wanted to tell (about 4 days later) I posted, “Fiance got a free pass for the rude awakening he gave me on Tuesday night… Because he’s now my fiance!”

(He had woken me up in the middle of the night, claiming he was locked out on the roof.)

I also went with “He asked, I said yes.”  πŸ™‚

Mine was “I’m engaged!!!!!!!!!” lol. I didn’t necessarily want attention, but I just felt like announcing it to the world!!!

i used “he asked and i said yes” for my status after calling close family and friends to announce our engagement.

i *too* thought of this beforehand and was sad when a friend used it a couple months before. then i said screw it! i can post whatever i want. and i did.

I didn’t write anything in my status, but I changed my relationship status thinking no one would notice. WRONG!!!  Everyone noticed, and I had to quickly call my mom before she found out from someone other than me!!!!

I’ve thought of putting “INTRODUCING… THE FUTURE MRS XXXX” πŸ™‚
