My Fiance and I don’t have any idea of what to do for wedding favors. What did you do? What ideas do you guys have for INEXPENSIVE favors? And please not plants or anything; I know it’s creative but we already know someone who did it and it’s not an idea I particularly care for.

First, favors are NOT required. That would obvioulsy be the least expensive option… just to skip them all together.
We were on a budget as well, and decided that instead of big floral expensive centerpieces, we would have a bowl of candy at each table (different candies at different tables) and each place setting would have a clear baggie and a ribbon with our name & wedding date on it, and they could take a few pieces of candy from their table and other tables around the room. It was actually DH’s idea! He thought having a variety of candy would encourage people to get up and mingle, and it would double as the favor as well. It was a big hit! Cheaper than traditional centerpieces as well 🙂
Other less expensive ideas might be decorated cookies, a cupcake at each place setting, candy apples, a candy bar/cookie bar/etc… hot chocolate packs, chocolate covered strawberries.

we are not having hors d’oeuvres, so we are making little bags of trail mix as favors. we figured people can either snack on it before dinner, or in the car on the way home after a night of drinking. we are buying ingredients in bulk and putting them in cellophane bags with cute thank-you tags and it’s also nice because we can do them ahead of time. it should cost about $85 for 150 bags.

If you want to do favors, it is nice to have something that relates to you as a couple or to the theme or location of your wedding. Tell us something about you, the wedding, your interests etc.

i like edible favours. i find that they are the most popular.
you can make inexpensive edible favours and package them up with a little ribbon. things like cookies, peanut brittle, chocolate covered pretzels, caramel popcorn, etc.
