I bought the chocolates shaped like a three tiered wedding cakes from Godiva and gave it to them with a card.  They loved it!

Also, a friend of mine made really cute photo albums on snapfish telling that looked like little stories about there friendship, and the last page asked them if they would be a bridesmaid.  They were really thoughtful, and you can make them as funny or as sentimental as you want.  I wish that I had thought of that one!!

I made cards with the girl’s name calligraphed on it (just by me,don’t worry!) and then I took fabric and made a little dress with ribbon straps and drew on silver dots with a paint pen for little sparkles on the hem. I actually glued them together (fold in edges as "hems") and to the paper with a glue stick! It was perfect because it’s strong enough and not wet. On the inside I wrote something cute and sentimental, but I thought the front would be cute in their house even, just a little dress and their name.

Hi CT Bride!   I’m about to ask my BM’s too!

This is what I’m doing…..

On Valentine’s Day:  I’m sending cards to all 10 (!) of my Bridesmaid or Best Man that says "Will you be my….."  like a Valentine!

and then on the inside of the cards will say "bridesmaid?

I’m sewing these felt hearts together and putting rice in them to make little heart heat pads (just microwave for 30 sec) and saying "as a token of my love, as you have always warmed my heart, may this heart warm you on any cold days"  after my little note on why I would honored to have them on my special day πŸ™‚

Valentine’s day is a great fodder for asking your girls!

I made up a poem asking them to be my bridesmaid and got postcards made on vistaprint.com.  The back of the postcard had a picture of my fiance and I the night we got engaged.  Then I wrote something special to each one of them on the back of the postcard.
