Mine isn’t overly creative.. but it’s something different than just “table 1, table 2.” We sat down & thought of 20 words (we’ll have extra, but I want plenty to choose from) that meant something to us.. everything from the breed of dog we have, to the city we bought our home in, to the place we had our first kiss, to the date we got engaged etc I typed them up on the computer, and put a little explanation below each word to explain why it’s significant to us. Then I cut it out, and glued it to a piece of colored scrapbook paper & will have them laminated. Then I just made simple place cards with the word on the card.. so people will see their name on a card labeled “Dachshund” and find table “Dachshund” and that’s where they’re sitting.

the clip will have a small purple satin bow glued onto it, to give it some color. the table names will also be held up by the clips.

Have you and your Fiance travelled?  Do you have pics of yourselves in various cities? You can add in the name of the city over the photo.

Do you have a hobby?

Hiking or mountain climbing

beer drinking or making

cocktails

Do a search here on weddingbee for table names. You will get lots of ideas.

Ikea Tolsby frames are great to use for table names. They are double sided, so you can put the name on both sides or use the other side for a menu or thank you to your guests. They can be painted the color of your choice and they are 2/$1.99.

I’m doing something similar to PP, but with dates that were important to us, not words. I’ll post pictures after Friday!

@WineAndCupcakes:  I liked that idea too! But after about 5 or 6 dates/numbers we were stumped lol

Here are a few of ours that we used!

@X0JLYNN03:  lol yeah, it got a bit hard towards the end. Thankfully we only had 10 tables, but some were a bit random, like “the day we got our passports stamped together” … umm lol that really wasn’t that big of a deal to us, but our guests didn’t know that! haha

I love these ideas.  I’m really struggling, we’re having our reception in a football stadium and it’s so difficult to make it relevant without being tacky you know lol!

Good work ladies!

@FutureMrs86:  Thanks!! A good friend actually did them for us, I just gave her the “table numbers” and info, and she created the end result 😀

Why not use a tolsby frame and create numbers that looks like football endfield numbers? You can just print and cut out numbers in a font that looks like football field font and use green grass scrapbook paper and cut and paste them together.

Or use your favorite football team and use the player’s names/jersey numbers as table numbers.
