I knew there was SOMETHING I could do with all these crochet doilies I have from my Grandma’s sister… here’s the first one I’m actually excited about!
DIY Crochet Ring Bearer Pillow
I’d love to hear your ideas! I have a ton of the things and would like to use them if possible. I’m definitely considering this ring bearer pillow for starters!
I was planning on a ring box instead, something I could use later for a jewelry box. My son (the ring bearer to be) insists on a pillow. I don’t know where that is coming from but he says they convey the “specialness” of what’s being carried. Okay okay, a pillow he shall have! opinionated!

Can you fold them into flowers? Sort of pinch the middle and make a cone shape and tie that with some string or an elastic band and put it on a wire? Could be something for the mens bouts or in your bouquet, centrepieces, etc.

i don’t have any ideas, i was kind of boring and just used them under my centerpieces. but i just wanted to say i love doilies, so i can’t wait to hear other people’s ideas!

I don’t know if this will work with crocheted doilies… but we strung paper doilies on twine and hung them up like a banner/flags.

you could make your dress. ( though I think you already have yours.) I saw this on a blog and it was amazing! I think is was on 100layercake. the bride made all of the doilies herself.

- Wedding: January 2011 - Gardens of the World
Love that pillow! Im tempted to do one like that myself, only we dont have a ring bearer 🙁
Doilies are featuring quite bit in our wedding too. I have made some doily table runners to go on picnic tables, and I might sew some onto cushions as well.
What about paper doily cupcake wrappers?
Have fun collecting doily inspiration 🙂

I saw a blog post somewhere where doilies were all connected into a table runner. It was gorgeous!
Aha! Here it is: http://ashleyannphotography.com/blog/2009/12/07/our-kitchen-remodel-apartment-therapy-the-kitchn/

I’m doing blue glass containers (vases, jars, etc.) with flowers for centerpieces, and came across some doillies my great aunt crocheted…thinking of putting them under some of the jars..
