I’m trying to come up with gifts for my bridesmaids that aren’t your typical gift. I don’t really want to do something typical and boring such as buying their jewelry or matching robes..stuff like that. Trying to think of something new, unique and fun…anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

You should search bridesmaids gifts on Etsy! It personally gave me a lot of great ideas. I ended up purchasing some beautiful pocket mirrors and decided to make them each a decorative votive glass candle holder!

I’m sure you’ll come up with something great!

I just bought some butterfly necklaces. Butterflys are said to be little angels watching over you.

It really depends on your bridesmaids styles and the relationship you have with them. When I was Maid/Matron of Honor in my sisters wedding she made a shadow box for each of us girls with a great pic of each of us with her at her wedding shower. It was super thoughtful and something I still treasure. She also made a CD for each girl, with all the songs that we shared and that reminded her of each of us.
Now, this next idea actually came from a grooms gift. I don’t know if you are familiar with a company called thirty one but check them out, they do embroidered bags, baskets, purses, coolers, etc. You could get each girl a soft side cooler with their name or nickname personalized on it. They do great work and are super affordable. My fiance was in a wedding last summer and each of the groomsmen got a cooler that was a seat with their nickname embroidered on it, it was so neat and we use it all the time.

My parents paid for our entire wedding and were so incredibly generous that I felt like I needed and really, really wanted to pay it forward. So my gifts to my girls were pairs of TOMS. They all loved them, and it meant five pairs of shoes went to kids in need. It was perfect for us and our group of girls.

I’ll be designing and making necklaces for all my girls based on their tastes and the necklines of their dress – they are wearing mismatched dresses. Then i’m wrapping each necklace in a vintage hankie for them to have for “happy tears”. You mentioned not wanting to go out and just buy them jewelry, but something like this is personal and memorable!

I’m not getting married for another ten months, but my plan is:
-an LL Bean tote bag in their favourite color,
-a 750 mL bottle of their favourite liquor,
-a flask from etsy that matches their taste (One is a pin up girl, one is sugar skulls, one is a camera, and one has peace signs),
-a body scrub and/or lotion bar from graham gardens,
-and a little “survival kit” with a monogrammed hankie, asprin, chapstick, a shooter bottle of whatever big bottle of liquor they got, extra stockings and an essie nail polish in the shade that match their attire in a pretty little makeup bag.
– monogrammed stationary (maybe. I’d love this because I write a lot of letters, but they might not)
and a long personal thank you note about our friendship, how much they mean to me, and my gratitude for them standing up with me.
I hope they like them!

Etsy does have some great ideas! I did these wine carriers and got them personalized for each Bridesmaid and filled them with their fav wines: https://www.etsy.com/listing/120898438/wine-carrier-beer-carrier-perfect-gift? and then got the groomsmen these beer carriers with their fav craft brews: https://www.etsy.com/listing/119244526/beer-carrier-perfect-gift-for-birthdays? They loved it!

We opted for an experience instead of a tangible gift. My bridal party is all flying in for the wedding and because we will be in coastla Maine we will all be going on a Sunset dinner cruise on a local sailboat.

@limegreenbride: Not sure if you’re still working on this, since it’s kind of an old thread, but since your wedding is getting close …
My brother and his fiancee did something really cool, creative, and affordable this past Christmas that they are probably also going to do for their wedding party gifts. They made all of us a set of photo coasters.
They went to Home Depot and got a bunch of ceramic tiles (the 4″ square ones you would use on, say, a bathroom wall), some little plastic disks to glue on the bottom as “feet,” and an epoxy lacquer. They printed up a set of photos for each person and glued them on the footed tiles, then coated them with the lacquer for a clear, shiny finish. They look *amazing*, they are super personal and sweet, very useful, and my brother said it wasn’t an expensive or difficult project at all. Something like that would be great, if you have photos of special memories with your Wedding Party.
