Whoa… I thought etsy was started by a grandma or something, LOL. Or at least a crafty stay at home mom! No way a B-A from Brooklyn!

PS I think it’s pronounced eht-see but I like to say eeeet-see!

Interesting article! I also had a different image in my head of the person behind etsy!

Honestly, I had never given the “who” much thought! He looks like he’s 12! Thanks for posting that, it was really interesting. I had no idea people have to pay per item to list and then pay a commission. Guess I never really thought about it, though. Thanks!

Interesting. Not what I pictured at all. He really does look like he’s 12.

Wow! Thanks for posting. Who knew? It’s a great business and $100M sold this year is very impressive for such a young site.

Wow, I don’t know why, but I always assumed it was created by a crafty lady kind of like Martha Stewart!

I honestly never really thought about the creator of etsy– and like the other bees– I never would have guessed it was a young guy like him!

Very interesting 🙂 Thanks for sharing!

Etsy is one of those ideas that I kick myself for not coming up with first! Like the Twilight Saga, Eggbeaters and The Real World franchise… why doesn’t my brain work that well!

Is it bad that I never imagined a granny to think of etsy. I always picked a young guy who grew up with a crafty mother and grandmother. I always figured that most grandmothers weren’t tech savy enough.
