I suppose if they schedule you for an appointment and you don’t show it means they turned down someone else they could have booked and sold a dress to? I’ve never encountered this myself but I only went to a very small local shop. And David’s. Is it a reputable local business?

I have not personally gone wedding dress shopping but I have gone with other people and have never heard of this.  No super swanky places, but smaller boutiques where dresses start at $800 or so.

Thats normal for big name stores. Klienfield does the same thing.

yea i had to do that for Kleinfields. If you make an appointment and you dont show up they could miss a sale from someone else who could have had your appointment. Makes sense to me.

That’s only happened to me when I make an appointment at a hair salon I’ve never been too. So it makes sense that bridal shops would do that as well.
