changing your number works, that would stop the phonecalls

That’s really weird… ! I’ve never had that happen, and it’s probably the same person calling you each time. I’d say have your Fiance answer the phone every time from now on. At the very least, the guy will know a man is there consistently. After getting your Fiance each time, he’ll probably stop calling. Hope that works for you!

A friend of mine was getting unwanted calls in his cell and I asked my ex (a police officer) what we could do about it. In Canada, not sure if this is the same in the States, you can push *57 after a call like that and your phone provider will store the number even if it’s blocked. It costs something like $5 each time you use it, but there’s a $10 limit or something like that even if you use it 30 times in a month. Here’s the interesting part though, you cannot access the number, only the police can obtain it from the phone company with a warrant so at that point they could find out who it is and put a restraining order or whatever you need in motion. Interesting stuff!

Yes, I had that happen to me many years ago.  Same exact thing!  Super creepy!!  I don’t think it actually was anyone I knew.  Hopefully your guy is right.

@Bubu82: can u recall who you may have given your number to 4 years ago, or who might have been able to find it (work, mutual friends) I think this is really worrying and I would try and sort this out incase he is a pychopath and it develops into more than phonecalls.

@Bubu82: Agreed, it doesn’t sound like you need to go there, just putting the info out there in case anyone else had any more serious late night calls that went over the line. Does your phone have a “sleep” mode where you could turn the ringer off between certain hours? Years ago I kept getting calls from a bloody fax machine and I called my cell phone provider to have the number blocked but they didn’t have the technology to block numbers on a cell phone at that point. Maybe by now they will though?

I agree with a bee above, track his butt down and turn him in. What a lame man. Good luck and hope you don’t have to change your #
