I have one! A few years back I bought a pair of 4″ hot pink heels to dress up a very plain black dress I was going to wear. I loved these shoes and was determined to squeeze my feet into them even though they were the most uncomfortable things I’ve ever worn. Anyway I tried them and it lasted an hour, they were brutal. I knew that since I wore them I couldn’t return them to the store so I decided to list them on Ebay. My Boyfriend or Best Friend at the time had an ebay account so I just used his to sell them. I took pics of the shoes on top of their box. I received a message from a man asking a few questions about the shoes, weird but not too weird. After a few correspondences he asks me to take a photo of myself wearing the shoes and send it to him. I don’t, this is getting weird since they’re basically just plain pumps. He keeps asking so eventually I tell my Boyfriend or Best Friend to cram his feet in them and I take a pic of him in the shoes, hairy legs and all. At this point the guy is the highest bidder on the shoes. He wins the shoes, I ship them to him. A week later he emails me saying how much he loves the shoes and they fit him just right :/ He definitely knew I was a woman and I know for sure he was a man since I could see his confirmed shipping address.

Once a guy approached me in the mall and was trying to sell me some books that he had in his van if I could just go out to the parking lot with him. He kept telling me I had kind eyes and he really needed to sell these books for money because he was broke.
Yeeeeeeah, I’ve seen every horror movie ever and there wasn’t ever any books in any of those vans mister psycho killer.
Another time, Fiance was with me in the mall and this guy stopped us and offered us $20 to review his Uncle’s business on Yelp that was in Houston (apparently he was having a hard time getting his actual customers to leave a review on there and the Nephew was trying to help him out). We actually did that one, cause hey, free $20. I thought it was kind of weird but Fiance said he found it comforting and “reminded him of home”. Uhhh, alright fella.

I had a guy sit beside me on a train once and lick my handbag. Yeah. That actually happened. I was not happy. It turned out to be a drunken dare and his friends came over and explained they’d been daring each other to do random things all day and I kind of saw the funny side of it. Kind of. It was really pretty disgusting though. I am also pretty sure in hindsight that they were on drugs, but I was a student (like them) at the time and pretty naive. Needless to say the bag went straight in the bin when I got home.

Oh my, I have a few stories…working as a hostess in a restaurant, I had some weird comments. I felt sexually harassed like almost every day. This one guy came in with his girlfriend/wife/whatever and FIVE CHILDREN, she went to the bathroom with the kids, he gets really close to me and tells me I had the most beautiful eyes he’d ever seen and asked if he could have my number. He had 5 kids with him!!! I said no, I had a boyfriend, his girl came back & that was the end of it.
Also, there was another hostess who told us that 2 Arabic men came in and tried to kidnap her one day when it was very slow & no one was there. I thought she was full of BS until 2 Arabic men came in while I was alone hostessing. They asked me all sorts of weird questions like what country was I from, how old was I, etc., told me I looked “exotic”.I was just trying to seat them! They stared at me the whole time they were eating, I had to get a server to make sure he was up there with me when they left so I wasn’t alone. My daddy isn’t Liam Neeson so I wasn’t about to get kidnapped & end up as a sex slave.
Also had an Arabic man come up to me in the gym and ask if I liked to ballroom dance? Like where the heck did that come from? I said no and laughed nervously and he said I was beautiful and then left.
I do a lot of work with the homeless and have gotten some great comments there too….One time, our pastor was bringing a message before the meal and one guy stood up and asked if we were the homosexuals who liked to kill people. He pointed right at my mom! Lol. This was in front of like 75 people.
Also, one time I was passing out hot dogs to them & this woman came up to me. She started on about how she hated white people and wanted to kill them by stabbing them but she couldn’t cause she would go to jail, and then grabbed my hair and said it was beautiful & I was beautiful and I had wonderful eyelashes. She started saying how she wished she looked like me. It was like she had a split personality. She seemed so angry & then just would act so sweet to me. Then she hugged me, and told me to kiss her on the cheek! I had no idea what to do, there were two other people with me watching all this and so I just did it. It was so awkward! She talked to me like 5 minutes and I was just hoping she didn’t want to kill me!

nickels : LOL. I got asked to send pics of my feet before. The guy offered to even pay. It kinda was tempting but I decided against it.

MrsSapphire : I have to say… as completely sexist and inappropriate as that is, an Irish accent would make it slightly attractive to me anyway. Also, Quick Chek woooooooo!
One time a guy in the grocery store told me I have nice feet. I said, “Don’t say that to anyone ever again,” haha.

soymilk : You just reminded me of my own! Me and Darling Husband were walking down the street holding hands and an older white lady walks up to us, grabs our clasped hands and says, with TEARS in her eyes, “you two are BEAUTIFUL. Thank you for being together.” Darling Husband and I are an interracial couple so I’m assuming that’s what she was referring to. We both just looked at each other and were like, WTF? LOL. We thanked her graciously and walked away with her still staring at us like she just saw the face of Christ. Totally weird, but she meant well.
This one time I was in San Francisco just walking down the street minding my own business when a super grungy homeless man comes out of nowhere and HUGS ME. Ughhhh….I hate to say that I was absolutely disgusted but I really was. The sad part is that he gave me a genuine hug, like, he wasn’t being a creeper…apparently he just needed to hug someone. I instantly swatted him away but I actually felt bad about it later. I mean, I’m sure he was mentally ill but still.

Oh my god your stories are so funny and creepy at the same time!!!
Once i was downtown sitting on a bench in the park, waiting for hubby to come pick me up with our car (it’s impossible to find a parking space) it was about 2 pm and a man in his late fifties came to me and asked if he could tell me something… i got nervous and told him yes.
He then told me “Do you know that jesus loves you? and proceeded to show me the bible with some versicles that said everything about Gods love and stuff, im not religious but i thought it was sweet… until he then said if I didnt obey God I will be punished and made me read some versicled that talked about brimstone and hellfire… it just went downhill from there and i didnt know what to do… until i saw Darling Husband arriving in the car and i just got up and ran towards him. Lol
Another time in December i went to the virgin Guadalupe’s festivities that are celebrated downtown, i sell brownies and fruitcake to the people that are gathered there. So i approach a man in a bench and i start my sale’s pitch and he says:
-You’re very pretty… I cant eat pastries.
-Oh… well thank you, no problem, your health comes first
-Do you have a boyfriend?
– Uh… a husband, im married.
-You’re very pretty, im very well of, im from Michoacán (where there are a lot of druglords) i would treat you right, you’d have everything…
-Uhm… thanks but no…
and i ran for my life, hoping he wouldnt kidnap me.

maymrswinks: XD Haha. Yeah, we’re interracial as well so I think ours was probably for the same reason. We’ve encountered some pretty negative strangers so I guess it was just nice to see someone supportive lol. Yours is a little more intense though, haha.
I think being physically touched (not to mention held) by any stranger, homeless or not, would be enough to make anyone freak out.
