Ok I need HELP! I am driving myslef crazy. I really do not like the idea of a traditional wedding cake (I’m just not a cake person), but I have fallen in love with the idea of a Crepe Cake. I found them at Charleston Crepe Company, online and thought “THIS WOULD BE GREAT”! I went to order one of the 10″ cakes to sample, to make sure it was what I really wanted, only to find out the shipping cost more than the cake! I have not problem paying for my wedding cake to be shipped, but I can bring myself to fork up $103 just to SAMPLE the cake. Ok so long question short….does any one have any alternative suggestions to a cake, other than cupcake, or does anyone know where I can buy a crepe cake either in Washington, DC (where I live) or the Outer Banks (where we’re getting married)

I just found Crepes a Go Go. It seems that there may be more according to Yelp.com (Sorry, copy and paste isn’t working or I’d give you the link). Just search it.

Mackenzie Ltd offers a Vanilla and Chocolate Raspberry Crepe Cake. They’re in Baltimore.
Charleston Crepe Company (S.C.) offers a Tiered Crepe Cake that looks like a wedding cake.

I actually called Crepes Amour today and another store answered the phone that was upstairs and he wouldn’t transfer me – it was all really confusing. Crepes a Go Go is also just an eat in restaurant. Neither do the cakes. Thanks for the assistnace though!
I will definately look into Mackenzie Ltd. Thats the best lead I have gotten!

I’d ask around at local bakeries. I’m sure someone could make it for you locally! Ask your venue or catering company.
also there’s of course having lots of pies or other desserts like tarts, brownies, cookies, little things like that!
