I’m looking for crib bedding for our nursery (so many to choose from)! I’ve checked out the sets at Babies R Us and BuyBuy Baby. It’s hard to tell the quality and what I’ll need to think about like warmth, softness, hypo-allergenic, etc. I also found a set I like from Pottery Barn Kids online. I won’t be able to feel it before I buy it because there isn’t a store close to me. Can anyone tell me anything about the quality of bedding at these places and what I need to look for?

Just a head up, you cannot use most bedding for the first year. Blankets and crib bumbers cannot be used due to SIDS. The only thing you need are sheets, and if you want a crib sheet. I bought sheets from Babies R Us and have a number of swaddling blankets to keep her warm. I have pottery barn for myself and I like the quality.

I just got several fitted sheets and then a crib skirt (from Etsy) for decoration. Like roxy821 said, most of the sets you can’t use for an infant.
For keeping baby warm, they recommend either swaddling or using sleep sacks rather than loose blankets/quilts.

You can’t use the comforter, you can’t use the bumpers, you can’t use the pillows, etc…. Get a couple of fitted crib sheets and leave it at that.
